Your privacy matters to us. CashFlow is designed with a privacy-first approach. This policy explains what data we collect (very little), how it is stored, and your rights regarding your personal information.
1. Your Data Stays on Your Device
CashFlow does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal or financial data on our servers. All information you enter stays on your device and, if you choose, in your personal iCloud account.
The only data that exists within CashFlow is information you enter or import, including:
- Transaction amounts and descriptions (manually entered or imported from bank statements)
- Categories you create or customize
- Account names and balances
- Any notes or labels you add
This data is stored on your device and optionally synced to your personal iCloud account using Apple's end-to-end encryption. It is never sent to our servers or any third party.
2. No Third-Party Tracking
CashFlow does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking tools. We do not use:
- Google Analytics or similar services
- Advertising identifiers
- Third-party cookies or tracking pixels
- Fingerprinting or behavioral profiling
3. No Bank Login Required
CashFlow does not connect to your bank accounts or require any login credentials to financial institutions. You import bank statements (CSV files) directly from your device. All processing happens locally — your bank files are never uploaded to any server.
4. Data Storage
Your financial data is stored securely in two places:
- On your device: Your data resides on your iPhone or iPad.
- In your personal iCloud: CashFlow uses your personal iCloud account to securely sync and back up your data using Apple's end-to-end encryption. Only you can access it.
We have no access to your iCloud data. Apple's encryption ensures that only your devices, signed into your Apple ID, can read it.
5. Backup & Export
CashFlow provides tools for you to back up and export your data:
- Backup & Restore: You can create encrypted backups of your entire database and restore them on any device.
- CSV & PDF Export: You can export your transaction history and reports at any time.
When you use these features, the exported files are stored in a location you choose (e.g., Files app, email). We have no access to these files.
6. Children's Privacy
CashFlow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since all data is stored on your device and your personal iCloud, no children's data is transmitted to us.
7. Data Deletion
Since your data is stored on your device and your personal iCloud, you have full control over it at all times:
- You can delete individual transactions, categories, or accounts within the app.
- You can delete all app data by uninstalling CashFlow from your device.
- You can manage your iCloud storage through your Apple ID settings.
- We have no data to delete on our end because we never collect it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
